Clinical Psychology
Denise Whitworth BSc MSc is a Chartered Clinical
Psychologist who has worked with families and young
people in the NHS for 12 years. She has experience in
relationship problems, behaviour or emotional problems
(e.g. anxiety, OCD, depression), eating difficulties
and sleep problems.
Denise
employs a range of therapeutic techniques including
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Family Therapy and Counselling.
Her approach is solution focused - trying to help families
understand the psychological processes that contribute
to the problems they experience and generating solutions
to overcome these difficulties.
Denise operates with individuals, families, couples
and groups. Group work can involve working with certain
behaviour problems and sleep problems - this offers
a reduced costs for the people involved.
Denise also offers training to organisations who work
with young people such as schools, social workers nurses,
doctors and the voluntary sector. She is a member of
the British Psychological Society, the Association of
Personal Injury Lawyers and has full indemnity insurance.
