What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a gentle, holistic system of healing,
suitable for everyone, young and old. Homeopathy focuses
on you as an individual, concentrating on treating your
specific physical and emotional symptoms, to give long
lasting benefits.
 I
have been practicing for the last 7 years after studying
for four years at a college in Devon that has been teaching
homeopathy for 22 years. Most recently I have been working
at Neath Homeopathy clinic and practicing from the Medicentre
in Neath.
After qualifying I attended a registration course to
bring my practice into line with the national occupational
standards. (Post qualification I became fully registered
with the Society of Homeopaths. This means I work under
agreed professional and national occupational standards,
I subscribe to a code of ethics and regularly attend
Professional Development courses and seminars).
I also belong to a group of local homeopaths called
the Tawe Homeopathic Initiative. We meet on a weekly/monthly
basis for pier supervision, pooling of resources and
information sharing. I also attend a clinic in Bath
for continuing professional development every month
with other practicing homoeopaths from Swansea and Cardiff.
Homeopathy will be available at the Oaktree Park Clinic
Monday - Friday. Annie Childs MARH will be running the
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning clinics, and I
will be running the Wednesday afternoon, all day Thursday,
and Friday clinics. One Saturday a month Annie and I
will be running a Drop-In Clinic for parents to bring
in their children for treatment with conditions such
as asthma, eczema coughs and colds, behavioural problems,
sleep problems, fears and developmental delays.
Homeopathic remedies are very easy to give to babies
as the tablets dissolve quickly in the saliva - I was
very grateful for this when my children were teething!!
We will also be running a Trauma clinic for people
that have suffered the effects of accidents, bumps,
bruising, injury or shocks, such as sports injuries
or an emotional shock ie bereavement. Some people have
found that taking homeopathic remedies, even some time
after the event makes a marked difference to their recovery.
This clinic will be run in conjunction with the homeopathy
centre in Swansea.
Current charges are 20 mins acute clinic £20
(includes prescription).
Fist appointment for individually tailored treatment
£45 includes prescription and telephone follow
up. Follow up appointments 4-6 weekly £30.
